Project
YUM manages a variety of Community Development, Education and Health projects throughout Indonesia. All the projects work with poor and destitute Indonesians to improve their quality of life. To find out more about the projects see the links below:
Health Projects
YUM's health projects are focused in Central Kalimantan, where there is a desperate need for proper health education and resources. A lack of good healthcare also impacts the economic and social aspects of these communities, some of which are isolated. YUM's leadership in disease prevention has led to major milestones particularly in the areas of malaria, sanitation, clean water and health promotion.
Education Projects
YUM's education projects are wide-ranging including scholarships, teacher training, vocational training and libraries. Children born into families, who for generations were resigned to a life of poverty, have little hope of breaking the cycle unless they have access to education. YUM believes that a holistic approach to education is key to developing young minds.
Community Development Projects
YUM’s community based projects aim to provide a better standard of living for those families living in poverty. We work in a number of sectors including water and sanitation, agriculture and microcredit for women.
YUM aims to create a foundation for long-term stability and growth by promoting cooperation between members of each community and show communities what can be achieved when they work together.
